About Me
J.R. Jones was born in Los Angeles, CA. He got his start in the music industry at an early age. His parents owned and operated a recording studio in San Diego, CA where J.R. would often hangout. J.R. started out as a recording artist under the name Kid Jones and J.R.

Hollywood. At 19 years old J.R. signed a record deal with Marble Ice Entertainment, and began touring the west coast and participating in different music conventions.

J.R. loved the stage and performing; however, J.R. loved the studio and post-production even more. After graduating from California State University Los Angeles and receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. J.R. attended The Los Angeles Recording and Film School in Hollywood, CA and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Engineering.
Shortly after graduating J.R. got a job at Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA as a runner, and quickly worked his way up to becoming a lead audio engineer. While working at Paramount Recording Studios J.R. worked along side industry legends like Teddy Riley, Joe Jackson, Timbaland, Nicole Scherzinger, T.I, Flavor Flav, Hurricane Chris, Meek Mill, Tyga, The Legendary Traxster, and many more. After a couple years J.R. left Paramount Recording Studios to advance his career and focus solely on mixing and mastering.
After leaving Paramount Recording Studios J.R. got a job at Larrabee Sound Studios in North Hollywood, CA. Larrabee Sound Studios is the most famous mixing and mastering studio in the world. Multi-platinum and grammy award winning audio engineers like David Pensado, Manny Marroquin, and Jaycen Joshua all worked there. J.R. was given an opportunity to shadow and assist for Jaycen Joshua’s production team, were he learned all the industry secrets to mixing and mastering at the professional level.
In 2016 J.R. left Larrabee Sound Studios and moved to Las Vegas, NV where he start an online studio that focused solely on mixing and mastering. In 2017 J.R. opened Seven7Studios LLC. Seven Studios would be the first online mixing and mastering service that provides industry standard mixes for clients worldwide.
Seven Studios is an innovative studio that combined traditional studio production, the internet, and new technology for mixing and mastering. Recording artist, poets, and creatives can work from the comfort of their home or a professional recording studio. Once they’re finished creating their work, artist can simply upload and transfer their files to Seven Studios for mixing and mastering without ever leaving the comfort of their home.
